What is a USB device server?
A USB Device Server allows virtually any USB device to be connected to a wired or wireless network.
What is the benefit?
Share USB Devices among multiple people/computers on the network. Connect to the USB device remotely.
How does Silex do it?
Silex has developed software for Windows or Macintosh computers called SX-Virtual Link which emulates a USB port to the operating system, and redirects the packets to the USB port on the “Device Server” on the network making it look to the operating system as if it is local.
